Additional Mammographic Views (1.5 CEUs)

We use additional views for many reasons, but primarily for "problem-solving". There are many additional views to choose from. This lecture will explain Why and When to use each one and will also show you mammographic examples of each. You will learn how to position each view properly to get the desired results by using the correct technique. Once again, the focus will be on the standardization of positioning techniques for all the additional views while each technique will be clearly demonstrated. 

Male Breast Imaging with Radiologic-Pathologic Correlation (1.5 CEUs)

Breast cancer affects both men and women, with approximately 1% of breast cancer cases occurring in men. Despite its rarity, male breast cancer requires careful attention and appropriate diagnostic imaging, including mammograms. This crucial lecture will focus on male breast cancer, offering numerous imaging examples and essential information. By participating in this course, you will gain the knowledge needed to deliver exceptional care to this unique patient population.

MQSA: A Comprehensive Guide to Breast Density (1 CEU)

In this course, you will learn about the origins of the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA), its current state, and where we are going, particularly when it comes to breast density. Guidance will also be provided by Dr. Patel regarding supplemental screening modalities and breast density reporting/communication with patients and referring providers.

Patient Relations and Communication in Breast Imaging (2 CEUs)

This course will better help breast imagers to more readily understand the anxiety patients experience when undergoing breast cancer detection imaging processes.  You will learn to identify and capably address patient anxiety using communication, comfort, competency and compassion.  Specific skills and tools will be provided to better enhance the patient experience and thus increase compliance with breast imaging guidelines.
