There’s a lot happening beneath the surface of a breast ultrasound image. The better you understand how the breast is built, the easier it becomes to recognize what you’re seeing and know when something deserves a closer look.

In this course, Brooke takes you layer by layer through breast anatomy, connecting structures such as the skin, fat, fibroglandular tissue, fascia, and pectoralis muscle with how they appear during ultrasound evaluation. You’ll also take a closer look at the nipple-areolar complex, normal breast blood flow, and the lymph node locations every breast sonographer should know.

Build a stronger mental map of the breast and gain a better understanding of how its tissues and structures relate to one another, giving you a solid anatomical foundation to carry into scanning and image evaluation.
