- Identify the selection and adjustments of technical factors needed for image formation.
- Describe proper scanning techniques to include time gain compensation (TGC) and overall gain.
- Demonstrate the ACR guidelines that are necessary for image documentation.
- Recognize the importance of sonographer ergonomics.

- Identify the sonographic presentation of benign pathology, such as simple cysts.
- Identify the sonographic presentation of malignant pathology.
- List the pathology that is considered high risk.
