Achieving the “perfect” ACR quality image that we use for accreditation purposes is not a realistic goal in everyday practice. This is due to numerous and variable factors including patient body habitus, breast size, shape and tenderness, range of motion and stability issues. In this lecture, Ms. Louise Miller, R.T.(R)(M) will provide data regarding realistic goals that meet ACR standards, which is quite different from images submitted for ACR accreditation. She will discuss positioning standards for mammography and methods for image problem-solving, as well as provide realistic solutions to solve common clinical image deficiencies.

Speaker: Louise C. Miller, R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT), CRT(M), FSBI, FNCBC
