Mammography Initial Training for Students – 27.5 Hour Course

Over the past three decades, UCSD School of Medicine has offered initial mammography training for technologists and trained thousands of technologists from around the world. Louise Miller, Director of Education for Mammography Educators, served as Director and Co-Director for the Practicum from its inception. Louise retired from UCSD in September of 2013, and Mammography Educators has been offering the same academic-based program, with updated curriculum, since then. This 27.5 hour course, in combination with clinical hours, provides students with the opportunity to be certified in mammography from the start with the highest quality of initial training.
