The breast health navigator plays a vital role in patient care, serving as a key connection between breast imaging and subsequent treatment. This course is designed for nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills to excel in this essential role.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the navigator’s responsibilities, including the critical knowledge and competencies required to perform effectively in clinical practice. Certification through the NCBC (National Consortium of Breast Centers) requires meeting their eligibility requirements, including 1,500 hours of relevant navigation experience, at least 8 hours of focused education in breast care, breast cancer, or breast navigation, and passing their BHCN certification exam. This course is approved for 8.25 Category A continuing education (CE) hours.

While tailored to support learners working toward recognition as a breast health navigator, this course is designed for nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals seeking to expand their knowledge of breast health navigation, strengthen patient care, and advance their careers.

We are an independent educational provider and are not affiliated with or endorsed by NCBC, ONCC, or AONN+. We always recommend confirming current certification requirements directly with the provider before applying.
